One of the most beloved features of Ma Doudou is the fact that every bottle, even the plastic ones, are hand painted by local artisans. The simple and colorful motifs make for a quaint and vibrant souvenir of St. Martin. Stopping by the St. Philipsburg  Ma doudou store, we meet Jamal, a very friendly and engaging guy who was also the nephew of the founder of this family enterprise. Seeing Jamal’s pride and excitement while talking about his family’s business, it it easy to see why they have grown into such a successful and beloved product

Some of our favorite flavors that Jamal was more that happy to let us sample were the Leches Coco, the Banana Vanilla and my personnel favorite was the Bois bande also known as Woody Woody… reported by the locals to have, lets say aphrodisiacal powers. We were also introduced to a variety of other products including Hot Sauces, Jams and various flavorings of the local islands. In short, this one of the best products of the Caribbean and we highly recommend trying some Ma Doudou soon.
