How to build a Tiki Bar

Have you ever wondered How to build a Tiki Bar ? Yes, we know you have. The glamour, the mystique, the nostalgia all build into an Mad Men fueled desire to go back to a simpler time. If you are ready to start a Tiki Bar project the first step is to find the proper area to build your Tiki Bar. First thought on this front is don’t try to cram too much kitch into too small an area. The size of your bar,  tables and chairs, kegerator…you can only fit so much in any given area. Most of you will already have the place in mind, so let us skip ahead. Assuming that you took my advise on not trying to stuff a 1000 sq. foot bar into your 10 x 10 mud room, you do have a few things to make sure you have …or not. One thing that is not often not considered in the grand vision of your Tiki Bar is… of course it will be a wet bar, I mean what self respecting man would have a wussy bar without running water, I mean that is just Bush League, right?  In general printable Buffet Beach agrees but if any of you have done a kitchen or bathroom renovation you know that plumbing is neither cheap nor as easy as your average TV remodeling show will have you believe, so remember a wet bar is super cool but know your limitations and watch your budget. Electricity is both a little easier and possibly more deadly. If you are lucky, the place you choose for your Tiki Bar will have enough outlets foe the prerequisite lighting and refrigeration.  One thing we bet you didn’t think of was, to have a true Tiki Bar, you will have to make gallons of frozen drinks and your average, quality blender uses a lot of amperage in an often very wet environment, so having a GFI outlet for your bar area is probably something you or possibly your widow would conciser important.
