Grand Saline Beach, St. Barts is widely known as one of the best beaches in the world. St. Barts, a tiny little island that is part of the French West Indies, is a special place in many ways. Long a mecca for celebrities and jet setters, St. Barts is an upscale jewel in the Caribbean. When you grow tired of visiting the high end shops and three star cafes and when you just can’t spend another minute on your luxury yacht, we recommend a visit to Grand Saline beach.  Considering the size of the island, Grand Saline beach is a long and fairly desolate stretch of perfect sand. You will need to hike to the beach from your car and on your way in don’t let the wild goats get ya. When you arrive at the sea shore you will find yourself on an almost deserted clothing optional beach with beautiful cliffs behind you and soft white sand and crystal clear water before you. Not to be confused with the wall to wall people, amenity packed Orient beach not to far away on St. Maarten, Grand Saline beach is quite, with long stretches and relatively few people. If you go to the beach looking for bath houses, cute little cafes and shade on demand… this may not be the beach for you. All you get at Grand Saline beach is soft white sand, beautiful water, scenery to die for, the option of getting an all over tan, and a peaceful day at a perfect beach. While Being deep in the Caribbean is great we do still recomend the beaches on the Outer Banks. You just need to find a deserted stretch of sand and hope you don’t get a ticket, it’s not legal there.

Grand Saline Beach, St. Barts nudity rules

We thought it would be our responsibility to inform you that officially, the act of topless sunbathing is common on St. Barts but being naked on the beach is not allowed. Most people on St. Barts just shoot you a funny look when reminded of this because, especially on Grand Saline beach, the rules are never enforced. You will have enough space that if you are offended by a naked starlet or hunky millionaire swimming just off shore all you need to do is move on down the beach.
