OK, we realize that among the purists out there, of whom we like to include ourselves, Captain Morgan Jack o Blast Recipes should not be considered Tiki culture. This little heresy aside the pumpkin flavored, rum based cordial from Captain Morgan does have a lot of things going for it now that the weather is getting a bit of a nip in it. If you have yet to try Captain Morgans pumpkin blast let alone need a good recipe for it it reminds us of a pumpkin flavored Baileys. That said it is really good sipped on the rocks or even better in coffee.

Captain Morgan Jack o Blast Recipes

The Queen Anne’s Delight

2 oz. Captain Morgan Jack o Blast

mix with cream soda to taste

pour the Captain Morgans over ice and add the cream soda to taste… see not too hard

Apple Jack O’Blast

see above recipe, substitute apple juice.

Mutiny Mule

1.5 oz. Captain Morgan Jack o Blast

3 oz. good ginger beer

.5 oz. fresh lime juice

If you see a pattern emerging here, I think you see why this yummy cordial may not fit the profile of a TIKI bar drink. It is new, is it an alcohol that is really pretty simple to mix and worse of all there is no mystery and lore with it…. but hey, it is pretty dang good.
